The Novi tunnel drilling completed
Drilling works on one of the most complex structures on the Mostar South Bypass, the 915 m long tunnel Novi, were completed today.
The today’s breakthrough ceremony of the main tunnel pipe was attended by the Federal Minister of Transport and Communications, Andrijana Katić, the Mayor of Mostar, Mario Kordić, and the representatives of the Employer – FBH Roads, the Contractor – JV Hering d.d. Široki Brijeg and Azvirt LLC Baku Azerbaijan, and representatives of the Engineer.
"FBH Roads is preparing to launch a bidding procedure for the continuation of the works from the Novi tunnel to Rodoč, alignment of approx. 3 km, and I hope that we will complete the South Bypass soon, which is very important for the City of Mostar and road users as well, so that all heavy good traffic can be moved outside of the city area", said Ljubo Pravdić, director of FBH Roads.
The contract for the construction of Novi tunnel under the Mostar South Bypass M6.1 Project, construction of section Miljkovići - Rodoč - connection to the M17, was signed on August 30, 2022.
