Opening of LOT 2C of Sarajevo Bypass
Section LOT 2C of Sarajevo Bypass Project, Briješće- Safet Zajko Street, has been officially opened for traffic today. Numerous representatives of federal, cantonal and municipal authorities, representatives of Investor, Contractor, Designer, Engineer and inspection bodies attended the ceremony. Welcome speech was given by the Mayor of Novi Grad Municipality, Samir Efendić. The attendees were addressed by the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Elmedin Konaković, FBH Minister of Transport and Communications, Denis Lasić and FBH Prime Minister, Fadil Novalić.
LOT 2C was constructed as part of Sarajevo Bypass Project, funded by the International Finance Institutions (EBRD, EIB and OPEC Fund) and implemented by the PC Roads of the Federation of BH on behalf of the FBH Government.
Section of LOT 2C, with total length of 1, 2 km, consists of a full profile carriageway (2x2 traffic lanes) of about 800 m long, structure "Pergola", 120 m long and a roundabout to connect it with Safeto Zajko Street, total length of about 450 m.
The value of works on LOT 2C is BAM 9.574.554, 09 KM (VAT included). The Contractor is JV Euro-Asfalt Sarajevo & GP ŽGP Sarajevo while the construction supervision was provided by Institut IGH Zagreb and IPSA Insitut Ltd Sarajevo.
The section has all the elements of a fast road that will provide road users with a higher level of service, better ride quality and shorter travel time.
